Kathleen Werlinger passed away on January 17, 2024, at St Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey, ND.   Visitation will be at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Sunday January 21, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with prayer services at 5:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be Monday, Jan 22, 2024,10:30, at St Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey.  Burial will be in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery, Harvey.

Kathleen Lesmeister was born June 21, 1937, the third of seven children, to Ben and Mary (Schwab) Lesmeister.

On November 12, 1957, she married Floyd Werlinger and together they had six children: David, Vickie (Dave) Richter, Robert (Shelley), Sharon, Patricia (Curt), Broten and Deborah (Howard) Burnett. In the fall of 1979 Kathleen suddenly had a new role; that of becoming a grandmother to four grandchildren within one month; Rachel, twins Ron and Jon, and Quentin.  Later she would welcome an additional ten, Samantha, Aaron, Meggi, Cassandra, Lance, Brittany, Christina, Brandon, Rebecca, and Nicole.

Kathleen is survived by her children, David, Vickie, Robert, Sharon, and Deborah, fourteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great- great granddaughter.  She is also survived by sisters Delores (Don) Rapske, MaryJane (Rich) German, Marlys Guerrero, and brother Albert (Michelle) Lesmeister.

Kathleen had many jobs throughout the years including working at a bakery, poll worker in election years, and most recently at St Aloisius Nursing Home as a CNA for 30 years.  She was a member of St Cecilia Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America.

In later years she enjoyed annual vacations with her siblings and children. She was a loyal friend to many and rarely had an unkind word towards anyone.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia, husband, Floyd, sister, Vivian, and brother, Jerry.
