Karl Jay (Jai) Departed the earthly world on Friday, May 25, 2012 in Minneapolis at the age of 44. Jai was born August 26, 1967 in Harvey, ND. He is a 1985 Harvey High School graduate and attended Jamestown College, went on to Moorhead State University (MSU) and North Dakota State University (NDSU) where he worked in the Graphics Department. Jai's astonishing career in graphic design began in Minneapolis 1993 at the John Ryan Company. After 3 years Jai joined Design Guys as a senior designer, where he was to become a valued contributor and powerful creative force for over 12 years. Jai had a deep appreciation for beauty and possessed the creative energy and skills that allowed his abstract visions to become reality. Sharp witted, Jai was also playful, enjoyed to laugh and embraced the mysteries of life. Simultaneous to his design career Jai's interest in spirituality lead him to the study of the healing arts, where he became a Master Reiche Practitioner. In 2008 Jai followed his heart and moved to Kalani, a retreat center located on the Big Island of Hawaii where he worked, inspired and lived for 4 years. Jai's life-long quest was a journey toward wholeness and inner peace. Jai is preceded in death by his father and mother; Kenneth and Dicey Theige. He is survived by sisters, Caro Vernon, Las Vegas, NV, Kim Lewis, Orange Park, FL and brother, Kevin (Julie) Theige, West Fargo, ND and a niece, Allyson and nephew, Tim Jr. Jai's family held a private service in Harvey, ND.
