Joseph D. Dosch, 78, Hurdsfield, ND passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Fessenden, ND.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 20 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Joe was born on July 25, 1944, in Harvey. He was the son of Donald and Elizabeth (Deibert) Dosch. He grew up on a farm near Devils Lake. He graduated from Devils Lake High School. He entered the army and served in Germany before being honorably discharged. He was once married to Georgia Robideau. They lived in Devils Lake where they had a son, Donald. Joe moved to Carrington in 1983 and worked at OK Tire as a technician. He served in the North Dakota National Guard where he was a mechanic at Camp Grafton. Joe's unit was activated, and the water purification unit was stationed in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. He married Jeanette Matson on May 7, 1992, in New Rockford. They lived in Hurdsfield since. In Hurdsfield he worked for Harvey Farmers Elevator Hurdsfield station, Hurdsfield Grain, drove school bus for 18 years and had a lawn mowing service. He retired in 2018.
Joe was a member VFW Post in Carrington and American Legion Post in Goodrich. Joe was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Hurdsfield until its closing. He then joined the St. Augustine Catholic Church of Fessenden. Joe's hobbies were reading military history, listening to "old country music," dancing, doing mechanic work and watching sports.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jeanette; son, Donald (Slavica) Dosch of Piedmont, SD; step children, Christa (Kim) Hatch of Sykeston, Michael Matson of Valley City; two grandchildren, Alex Matson and Morgan Hatch; sister, Victoria Buckmeier of Devils Lake; brother, Dennis (Lovera) Dosch of Powers Lake, ND.
