John Wolfe, 93 of Harvey died Saturday October 27, 2018 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be held at Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery of Harvey.

John was born on April 25, 1925 near Filmore, ND.  He was the son of Joe and Magdalina (Fettig) Wolfe.  John grew up and attended school in Baker, ND.  As a young man he farmed with his father.  John married Lucille Wiest on October 12, 1948 in Selz.  They lived on the family farm near Filmore for 48 years before moving to Harvey in 1996.  John loved farming with Lucille by his side.  They raised four daughters on the farm and family meant everything to him.  John was a member of the Harvey Knights of Columbus and the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Wells Eagles Aerie #3080 all of Harvey.  He was a former member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church of Filmore and the St. Boniface Catholic Church of Esmond.

John enjoyed word find books and playing cards.  John was a wonderful husband to Lucille and a great dad to his daughters.

John is survived by his wife, Lucille of Harvey; four daughters, Carol (Roger) Nelson of Fargo, Connie (Dean) Knudson of Fargo, Fran (Rich) Aufort of Eugene, OR, Shirley (Darwin) Braunagel of Fargo; eight grandchildren, Chad McClaflin, Kelly Jensen, Crystal Rene, Ryan Knudson, Jason Knudson, Madeline Jonas, Travis Braunagel, Shawn Braunagel;  11great-grandchildren; sister, Leona Bates of Spokane, WA; many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter and Victor; sisters, Betty Dosch, Delores Haman, and Lavina Pfau.
