Jerrold "Jerry" Fix, 63, Harvey, ND died Friday, June 14, 2019 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 17 at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery of Harvey.

Jerry was born on October 9, 1955 in Rugby, ND.  He was the son of Emanuel and Luella (Bodine) Fix.  They lived on a farm 14 miles north of Harvey.  The family moved to a farm east of Harvey in 1958.  Jerry attended elementary school and graduated from Harvey High School in 1973.  He graduated with a degree in diesel mechanics from Wahpeton State School of Science.  He returned to Harvey and was a diesel mechanic at Bentz Implement, Ag Resources in Maddock, and Fix's Diesel and Repair.  Jerry also farmed during those years in addition to his mechanic work.  More recently he worked on tractors at his shop on the farm.  Jerry also bought and sold new and used parts.

Jerry was diagnosed with cancer in 2017.  He and his girl friend Michelle Mazigian continued farming and doing mechanic work until recently.

Jerry was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church and Wells Eagles Arie #3080 both of Harvey.  Jerry enjoyed bowling and hunting pheasants and deer.

Jerry is survived by his partner, Michelle Mazigian of Harvey; brother, Ken (Darci) Fix of Bottineau; sisters, Rita Schmitz of Fargo, Sue Adair of Ashland, WI; 14 nieces and nephews, Kathy (Terry) Olson, Ron (Janine) Schmitz, Carol (David) Brooks, Steve (Darla) Schmitz, Margaret (Rick) Volk, Mike (Tammy) Schmitz, Jackie (Jim) Bitz, Janell (Ryan) Johnson, Amanda (Ryan) Pillatzki, Rachael Fix, Megan Fix, David Rademacher, Lori (Steve) Kuschel, Carin (Jason) Bellile.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
