Jeneil  "Nellie"  Borchardt, 61, Harvey died Monday, January 21, 2019 at her home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 25 at First Lutheran Church, Harvey.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Interment will be in the McClusky City Cemetery in the spring.

Jeneil "Nellie" was born on Nov. 16, 1957 in Nashville, Kansas to Walter and Eva (Meredith) Rule.  She grew up in Kansas and Las Vegas.  She was once married to Terry Dockter.  Jeneil married Orlin Borchardt on February 25, 1989 in Harvey.  He died on April 24, 2007.

Jeneil was a cook for over 25 years at the Town and Country Restaurant and at Hornbacher's Café in Harvey.

Jeneil enjoyed dining out, playing Bingo, working crossword puzzles, listening to Toby Keith, decorating at Hornbacher's and enjoying her Pepsi.  Her dogs were precious in her life.

Jeneil was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Harvey.

Jeneil had no children of her own but she cared for a step grandson Cody Dockter and was a stepmom to Travis Borchardt and Nikki (Beau) Klinkhamer all of Dickinson, ND.  She has a cousin, Calvin Gaskin in Oklahoma.  Her family was her work family and the customers who dined at the restaurant.  She was preceded in death by her husband Orlin and her parents.
