Jeannette Weltz, 83 of Harvey, ND died Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at a Harvey nursing home.  Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Anamoose.  Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.  Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, immediately following the service.

Jeannette was born January 27, 1941 in Harvey, ND to Robert and Lillian (Liebelt) Helm.  She grew up on the family farm south of Martin.  She attended grade school in Martin and graduated from the Martin High School in 1958.  She married Gerald Weltz on November 21, 1959 in Hamberg, ND.  The first year of their marriage they lived with Clifton and Theresa Weltz south of Anamoose.  In 1961 they moved to a farm six miles south of Anamoose. Jeannette helped out with the chores including milking the cows.  They moved to Harvey in the fall of 1996. She was a CNA and later worked in the activities department at St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.  Gerald died on April 18, 1999.

Jeannette was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church and an Anamoose area homemakers club. She was a talented artist and very crafty. Jeannette enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, attending rummage and auction sales, but mostly spending time with family.

Jeannette is survived by her two daughters, Tammy (Joel) Doubek, Lorie (Tom) Sieg; son, Wade Weltz all of Anamoose, ND; 7 grandchildren, Shelly, Tasha, Cori, Kristina, Danielle, Kellie, Chayce; 8 great-grandchildren Riann, Deizel, Katie, Bentley, Bethany, Conner, Brinley and Evelyn; twin sister, Janice Kesler of Braham, MN.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Larry, Arlo, and Robert; sister, Kathy Degenstein.
