Jeanne M. Bentz, 90, Harvey, ND passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home, Harvey, ND. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 30 at the First Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND.  Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Jeanne was born on May 26, 1929 in Harvey to Robert and Jennie (Tammin) Bethke.  She attended elementary school there and graduated from the Harvey High School in 1947.  She then attended Dakota Business College in Fargo for one year.  Jeanne married Gordon Bentz on October 10, 1948 in Harvey.  They raised five children, Beckee, Fred, Gordy, Bruce and Paul.

She was a stay at home mom and taught her children to be loving, strong and hard working.  She was always there to lend a helping hand where needed.  In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling, transporting campers for Capital RV in Bismarck and after Gordon's passing away, wintering in Mazatlan, Mexico.  She entered the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in 2011.  Jeanne's hobbies were cooking, canning, bowling, golfing, and attending her children's and grandchildren's school and athletic events.  Jeanne was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Eagles Auxiliary in Harvey.  Jeanne was immensely proud of her family and lived and loved life. Jeanne leaves behind nothing but her beautiful memories to those who loved her.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Beckee (Steve) Keller of Harvey; three sons, Gordy (Jen) Bentz, Bruce (Bonnie) Bentz, Paul (Londa) Bentz all of Bismarck; 13 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon on November 20, 1996; son, Fred on February 13, 2004; brother, Bill Bethke; step grandson, Michael.
