Jeanine Brown, 88, Harvey, ND died on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home/   Interment will be at 3 p.m. Friday, May 17 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Jeanine was born on May 10, 1936 in Cognac, France to Florimond and Pierette (Nadeau) Gaborit.  She grew up in Cognac where she attended school.  She attended college and learned the English language.  Jeanine was then employed by the US Army at a base in the area.  She met her future husband Robert Brown there and they were married on September 7, 1957 in Cognac, France.  After her husband's discharge in 1958 they moved to the Scranton, ND area.  They later moved to Bismarck and in 1983 to a farm south of Harvey.  Jeanine was a CNA at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home and retired in 2007.

Jeanine's hobbies were reading, sewing, gardening, and knitting doll clothes for the grandchildren.

Jeanine is survived by her husband Robert of Harvey; son Patrick (Donna) Brown of Fargo; brother Guy (Danielle) Gaborit of Souberac, France; six grandchildren, Lexi, Amanda, Elizabeth, Chelsey, McCall, and Mikala; five great-grandchildren, Ellia, Eliza, Alo, Easton, and Westyn.

Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Roxanne Montgomery; brother Jean Gaborit and sister Odette Tendel.
