James Lillemon, 90 of Harvey died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 3 at Faith Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Burial will be in the Bethania Lutheran Cemetery, Wellsburg, ND.

James Elvin Lillemon was born on June 30, 1928 in Wellsburg, ND.  He was the son of Newell and Mable (Hanson) Lillemon.  Jim grew up on the family farm and attended a one room rural school near Wellsburg.  He attended high school in Fessenden and in Harvey.  Jim completed his Junior year and returned to work on the family farm after his brother was drafted into the army.  Jim farmed until his retirement in 1998.  Jim married Dorothy Swensen on December 26, 1969 in Hamburg.  They lived in Wellsburg, on the family farm and moved to Harvey in 2011.

Jim was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed spending time quilting with his wife; watching UND hockey, Bison football and the weather report on television.  He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Jim is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Dave Schwan of Nevis, MN, Diane and David Knudsen of Minot, ND; three grandchildren, James (Christine) Knudsen, Tawnya (Stephen) Demianczyk and Michael (Maggie) Schwan; six great-grandchildren, Cullan Demianczyk, Brenna Demianczyk, Joseph Demianczyk, Gianna Demianczyk, Madeline Schwan and Ellie Knudsen; sister-in-law, Joyce Lillemon of Harvey.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy on January 13, 2013, his parents and his brother Gene.

Jim passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 with his family at his side.
