James LeRoy Cromwell, 76, Harvey, ND died Tuesday January 8, 2019 at the Trinity Hospital of Minot.

Graveside services will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery of Hurdsfield in the spring.

James was born on September 15, 1942 in Hurdsfield.  He was the son of Alexander and Marion (Newsom) Cromwell.  Jim grew up and attended school in Hurdsfield.  He entered the Army on June 2, 1961 and was discharged on June 1, 1964.  Jim married Sandra Forrett in Colorado Springs, Colorado in April of 1964. Jim then started working in McClusky for Brown and Root Construction.  Jim moved with the company to Colorado in 1981.  In 1990 he moved to Harvey and begin working for the Garrison Diversion until he retired in 2005.  Jim moved Buffalo, ND. He moved back to Harvey in 2016.  Sandra died on April 29, 2016.  Jim married Kathy Schocknmyer on August 29, 2016 in Fessenden.  They lived in Harvey.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kathy of Harvey; daughter, Arnetta (Tim) Frueh of Buffalo; son LeRoy Cromwell of Buffalo; sister, Gail Martin of Goodrich; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra; sister, Lila Cromwell, brother, George Cromwell.
