James Browning, 80, of Harvey, died Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey, ND.  Graveside services will be held at the Orting Cemetery, Orting, WA at a later date.  Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup, WA will be providing services there.

James Steven Browning was born on June 6, 1941 at Poulsbo, WA.  He grew up there and in Bremerton and Seattle, WA.  He entered the Army in 1958 and was honorably discharged in July 1961.  He became a truck driver and was employed by Freightliners and Safeway for over 30 years. He moved to North Dakota in 1998 and lived in Minot, Rugby and moved to the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey in 2020.  He was once married to Helen Whalen.

James is survived by his son, Thomas Browning of Plantation, Florida, four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents and son Robert Browning.
