Jade Schroeder, 57, of Harvey died Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the St. Aloisius Hospital, of Harvey.  Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery at a later date. There are no other services planned at this time.  Arrangements are with Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey.

Jade was born June 19, 1967 in Harvey, North Dakota, to Gerald and Sheila (Roerick) Schroeder.

Jade was a Boy Scout and earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout. Jade graduated from Harvey High School in 1985. His favorite subject was shop class with Mr. Anderson. He later became a certified welder, working and living in Bismarck and Mandan with his former wife, Deb Brown Buchwitz.

As his health declined, Jade moved to Harvey to be near family and friends. He was also a member of the Harvey Eagles Club.

Jade was preceded in death by his father, Gerald. He is survived by his mother, Sheila; sister, Jodi (Steven) Meckle; nieces, Lauren Meckle, and Ashleigh (Blake) Field; uncle, Don Roerick; aunt, Shirley McVaney; and many friends.

Jade's sense of humor and love of his family will be forever cherished.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Harvey Ambulance Service.
