Jacob Goldade 81 passed away peacefully at his home in Wheatland, WY on August 31, 2014 after a long struggle with declining health.

Jacob Goldade, was born May 12, 1933 in Harvey, ND. He was the son of John and Mary (Deck) Goldade. He is a veteran that served his country proudly as front-line active duty in the Korean War. After serving he returned home to Selz/Harvey ND area and married his love, Ella Mae Richter Goldade on April 26, 1954 in Selz, and they had four children together. Jack was Ella Mae's loving husband and caregiver during her lengthy health struggles and preceded him in death; he also was preceded in death by his oldest son, Wayne Jacob Goldade. He later married Marilyn Califf. He was a wonderful provider, husband, father and friend to many. He was proud to be a Millwright Welder and also Business Agent as union representative for local 2834.
Jack had a zest for life and loved to collect everything and anything. He had a joke or story for anyone who would listen. His favorite saying to all the people who asked him, if he needed anything, was to say, "Just a smile." His joy was working in his shop, building and creating and always had a "project" that he was in the middle of trying to finish. Everyone knew if they needed anything, Jack probably had it or maybe two. Jack was the guy you turned to when you needed help. He was a strong support to all who knew and loved him. He will be in our hearts forever and will be missed dearly.
Left to mourn him are: his wife, Marilyn of Greeley, CO; his children, Arthur Goldade and Barbara Cottam from Wheatland, WY, and Dean Goldade from Round Rock, TX; his step-daughter, Vonn Burnett of Greeley, CO; his grandchildren, Steven Cottam, Bobby Cottam, Josh Coward and Justin Coward; his dog Johnny; and all who loved him.
