Irene Neuharth, 87 of Minot formerly McClusky died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Manor Care Nursing Home in Minot.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8 at McClusky Baptist Church, McClusky, ND. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky.

Burial will be in the McClusky City Cemetery.

Irene L. Neuharth was born on June 29, 1927 on a farm northwest of McClusky. She was the daughter of Peter P. and Christine (Zindler) Bonnet. Irene attended the Prophet Township rural school and then worked in restaurants and bakeries in McClusky and surrounding communities. Irene married Robert Neuharth on June 30, 1949 in McClusky. They made their home in McClusky and raised their three children, Roberta, Kevin and Cynthia. She was very active in the McClusky American Legion Auxiliary, serving in many positions. Irene attended the McClusky Baptist Church and helped with the Wednesday evening children's ministry and with other church activities. She was very supportive of all activities her children participated in. One of the things she will be remembered for is baking and sharing her baked goods with others. Almost equal to her baking was her needlework. In spite of her crippling arthritis, her crocheting was some of the most precise and beautiful around. Irene loved spending time with family, playing games and visiting with them. Robert and Irene moved to the Brentmoor in Minot in 2013. Irene had just entered Manor Care to recuperate after a recent hospitalization.

Irene is survived by her husband, Robert of Minot; children, Roberta (Charles) Netzloff of McClusky, Kevin (Cindy) Neuharth of Minot and Cindy (Lowell) Nelson of Grand Forks; four grandchildren, Heather, Michael, Jared (Beth) and Cassandra (Ben); two great-grandchildren; Leightyn and Jack.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Albert, Reinhold, Otto, Walter, Theophil; sisters, Martha, Emma and Ruth.
