Irene Beck, 72 of Harvey died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 11 at United Community Baptist Church, Anamoose, ND.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 10 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 11 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND.

Irene was born on December 14, 1943 in Harvey, ND. She was the daughter of John Jr. and Ida (Buechle) Beck. She grew up on the family farm south of Anamoose along with her brothers, Jerome and Donald and sisters, Arlene and Betty. Irene attended the Georgetown Township Country School and the Anamoose High School. She lived with her parents on the family farm assisting in the chores and housework. She moved with her parents to Harvey in 1970. She was their caregiver until they passed away. Irene also provided day care for numerous children in the Harvey area through the years.

Irene was a member of the United Community Baptist Church in Anamoose and taught Sunday School there for many years.

Irene is survived by her sister, Arlene (Marvin Wentz) Beck of Harvey; brothers, Jerome (June) Beck of Mandan, Donald (Mary) Beck of Anamoose, ND; six nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Betty Biesterfeld.
