Howard Erdmann, 80, Goodrich, ND died Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.  Funeral services will be held at the Peace Lutheran Church of Goodrich on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.  Visitation will be on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Prayers services will on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Goodrich City Cemetery, Goodrich, North Dakota.

Howard was born on February 24, 1939 north of Goodrich.  He was the son of Fredrick and Lena (Johannsen) Erdmann.  He grew up and attended school in Goodrich graduating in 1957.  Following graduation Howard started farming with his father.  He married Connie Mindt on June 17, 1962 in Goodrich.  In 1965 they moved north of Goodrich where they farmed and raised cattle.  Howard also worked for Holen Construction, Goodrich Elevator, and Steichen Farms.  Howard served on the Goodrich School board for 16 years and as Sheridan County Commissioner for 16 years.  Howard served on the Social Service Board, Sheridan County Museum Board, Lewis and Clark Board, Peace Lutheran Church Council, and was a member of the Goodrich Lions.

Howard enjoyed woodworking, playing his accordion, playing cards, and visiting with people.

Howard is survived by his wife, Connie of Goodrich, daughters, Lori (Mike) Rieger of Aurora, CO, Stacey (Denton) Overton of Kenmare; grandchildren, Dylan Rieger, Sierra Overton, Taden Overton, Haley Rieger; special sister-in-law's, Kathy Mindt and Marlys (Rodney) Loken; and brother-in-law, Skip (Trish) Mindt; numerous nieces and nephews.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gordon, Melvin and Dean; sisters, Agnes Brakel and Elaine Pfarr.
