Helen Weinmann, 92, of Harvey, ND died Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the Trinity Hospital in Minot. Funeral services will be on Monday August 15, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, Harvey. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.
Helen was born on May 25, 1930 near Hamburg, ND to William and Emma (Sielig) Kucera. She grew up there and south of Fessenden. She worked at a Fessenden hotel and married Albert "Bud" Swanson in 1948. They lived in Harvey and had four children, Albert A., Diana, Robert and Dorothy. Helen's jobs outside the home included working at Kirton's Café, Harvey Dairy Queen; tending bar at the Pioneer and Town and Country Lounge and as a waitress at the Artos. She and Bud later divorced but remained friends. Helen married Richard Weinmann on November 2, 1973. They lived in Harvey, south of Harvey where they built a home, and moved back into Harvey in 2016. Richard died on May 24, 2020.
Helen enjoyed cooking and baking; quilting; playing cards especially pinochle; attending garage sales; and mostly spending time with family.
Helen was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the Harvey VFW Auxiliary.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Diana (Doyle) Roe of Burlington, ND; two sons, Al (Jane) Swanson and Bob (Bonnie) Swanson all of Harvey; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Louis Kucera of Idaho; nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Anderson on April 8, 2022; parents; sisters, Dorothy and Caroline; brothers, Mayo, Roger, Gordon, and Earl. She was also preceded in death by her husband Richard and former husband, Bud.
