Helen Burgard 74 of Harvey died Monday November 10, 2014 at the St. Aloisius Medical Center of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey on Friday November 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 p.m until 7p.m. with prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey.

Burial will be in the St. Cecilia Catholic cemetery of Harvey.

Helen was born on January 24, 1940 at Selz, ND. She was the daughter of Wendelin and Florentine (Doxheimer) Burgard. She grew up and attended school near Selz. Helen worked for over 40 years in several businesses in Harvey including many years at the Ponderosa Bar.

Helen loved her granddaughters and was there to support them at their school and sporting events. She also enjoyed playing Bingo.

Helen was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Harvey and its Altar Society. She is a member the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of West Fargo.

Helen is survived by her son, Jim of Harvey; four granddaughters; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Eva Keller of Harvey; Rosella Pfeifer of Minot, Betty Kraft of Harvey; brothers, Leo Burgard and Richard Burgard both of Minot.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Stephen and Joseph; sisters, Mary Peters, Alice Schaan and Irene Burgard.
