Gregory Brower, 57, of Harvey formerly of Rugby died Tuesday November 3, 2015 at the St. Aloisius Hospital, Harvey.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 6 at Faith Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.
Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND
Gregory Allen Brower was born on August 1, 1958 in Fargo, ND. Greg was adopted by Robert and Leona (Pellett) Brower at the age of three months. He grew up on the family farm south of Martin, ND. He attended school in Harvey and graduated from the Harvey High School in 1976. He worked in Harvey for a short time before he studied electronics at Bismarck State College. Greg then attended and graduated from the Peace Officer Training Center at Lake Region College in Devils Lake, ND. He served as the Chief of Police in Strasburg, ND for approximately five years before becoming a police officer for the Harvey Police Department. After serving as an officer for approximately eight years in Harvey, he moved to Rugby. Greg worked as a correctional officer at the Heart Of America Correctional and Treatment Center in Rugby. Greg married Kathy Jenkins and they lived in Rugby. He became ill in July and recently moved to Harvey.
Greg was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Harvey. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Greg is survived by his wife, Kathy; mother, Leona Brower of Harvey; sister, LeAnn (Tom) Dick of Fargo; niece, Allison (Dusty) Beutler; nephew, Mitch Dick; great nieces, Bobbi Jo and Shelby; great nephew, Tucker; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Greg was preceded in death by his father Robert Brower on January 16, 2009.
In Lieu of Flowers memorials are preferred.
