He attended Wahpeton School of Science. Through the years he worked at B.J. Ford in Harvey, Weckerly Farms in Hurdsfield and Tierney Chevrolet in Bismarck. He had worked the last 34 years for the North Dakota Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Division in Bismarck. Glenn also owned and operated Glenn's Lawn Service and Snow Removal in Bismarck for many years. He had many clients, including Goldmark Property Management, which resulted in many new friendships. Every morning bright and early he went to meet up with his friends over a cup of coffee at Hardees.
Glenn was a very dedicated worker and always took his jobs very seriously. He received employee of the month awards and was very proud of receiving a signed license plate from Governor Jack Dalrymple recognizing his dedication and job performance.
Glenn enjoyed farming in his earlier years, watching westerns, Nascar and the sitcom "Last Man Standing" on TV. He collected International Harvester Tractors and memorabilia. "Red" was the only color! There was no John Deere green allowed. He always teased his brother-in-law, Delbert, about this.
Glenn married Helen Hoffmann on June 11, 1977, at Peace Lutheran Church in Goodrich.
He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church, Goodrich. Glenn was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bismarck where he enjoyed serving as head usher at the Celebrate Services.
