Glen G. Lelm, 86 of McClusky, ND and Mesa, AZ died on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake, ND.
Visitation will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Turtle Lake on Thursday, February 26, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Turtle Lake Cemetery. Arrangements with Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky, ND.
Glen was born on April 20, 1939 in Turtle Lake, ND. He was one of six sons born to Albert and Mable (Lindteigen) Lelm. He grew up there and graduated from the Turtle Lake High School in 1958. He married JoAnn Janice Hepper on October 5, 1958, in Washburn, ND. They lived in Minot for several years before they moved to McClusky in the spring of 1963 and established the Lelm Implement J. I. Case Dealership. Lelm Implement expanded to Harvey in 1981. In 1988 they closed their McClusky location and purchased the Fessenden Machine and Case IH dealership. Glen and Jim and Keith Helm also bought a trailer park in McClusky. While they were semi-retired their dealerships were managed by his family until they were eventually sold. He also farmed. Glen and JoAnn spent many winters at their home in Mesa during their retirement. They would live at their cabin on Brush Lake or their RV during the summer months. Glen was active in his community and served as the Mayor of McClusky. He and JoAnn enjoyed traveling around the country in their RV. His other hobbies included collecting cars, motorcycles and old tractors.
Glen is survived by his wife JoAnn; son Jim (Tammy) of Harvey; daughters, Jodi (Keith) Helm of Stewartville, Minnesota, Jackie Lelm (Dean Morley) of Denhoff, 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Marlo (Edith) Lelm of Mesa, AZ, sisters-in-law, Ramona Lelm, Turtle Lake, ND and Ardeth Denault of Washburn, ND. Glen was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Lamoine, Donovan, Rolette and Orlin.
