Gerard Grad, 66, Harvey, ND died on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.  Arrangements with Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.   A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Selz.

Gerard Paul Grad was born on March 29, 1958 in Harvey to Peter and Helen (Schneibel) Grad.  He grew up on the farm north of Harvey and graduated from Harvey High School in 1976.  He worked in the oil fields near Williston for several years before moving to the Minneapolis area where he worked numerous jobs including operating a business and working in a factory.

He was once married to Kae Hentges.  Gerard moved back to Harvey in 1997 and married Eleanor Worsley Sieglock on December 21, 2008 in Balta, ND.  He and Eleanor lived in Harvey.  Gerard's hobbies included tinkering, fishing, playing pinochle, and going to the casino.

Gerard is survived his wife, Eleanor; one son Guy Grad of Bloomington, MN; grandson Jax Grad of Bloomington; three brothers, Robert (Carol) Grad of Maddock, Bruce Grad of Mesa, CO, Clifford Grad of Dickinson; three sisters, Jane (Wayne) Rademacher of Underwood, Nancy Hansen of Fargo, Helen (Darwin) Hauser of Maple Grove, MN; three step children, Stephanie, Dale and Denise; nine step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  Gerard was preceded in death by his parents.
