Gary Wiest, 62, of Harvey died Monday August 2, 2021 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.  Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.

Gary was born on July 31, 1959 in Harvey, ND. He was the son of Leo and Alice (Alveshere) Wiest.  Gary grew up in Harvey graduating from Harvey High School in 1977.  He started working in the detailing department at Roble's Chevrolet.  He was a parts man for John Weber Motors and the Krahler's Parts and Services in Fessenden.  Gary retired several years ago due to health reasons.

Gary lived in Fessenden and then moved back to Harvey in 2016.  He was a member of the Trinity Bethany Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND.

Gary is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Joel Wack of Bismarck,  niece Michelle (Eric) Dittus of Bismarck and great niece, Alissa Dittus.  Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
