Gerald Raymond Liebelt, 63, Harvey, ND died Monday, June 28 at his home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. today (Wednesday June 30, 2010) in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.
Gary was born on January 6, 1947 at Minot, ND. He was the son of Raymond and Laura (Stenvold) Liebelt. He grew up on the farm near Harvey and graduated from Harvey High School. He then helped on the farm for a time before moving to South Dakota where he worked in a mine. He returned to the Harvey area where he resumed farming with his father. He suffered an injury which resulted in his disability and early retirement. Gary was a member of First Lutheran Church, Harvey. He enjoyed the independence and passing of time provided by driving his car in and around Harvey. He had an appreciation of all the animals both on the farm and in the wild. He also looked forward to attending the Wells County Fair every year. He is survived by his parents, of Harvey; sister, Lori (Kelly) Mason of Fessenden; brothers, Jim (Jenny) of Grand Forks, Rob (Kim) Warroad, MN; nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl and a brother, Ron.
