Frank Thomas 87 of Harvey died Sunday May 29, 2011 at the St. Aloisius Hospital, Harvey.

Funeral Mass will Friday June 3, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey.

Visitation will be at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with prayer services at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Burial will be held in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery, Harvey.

Frank was born on January 31, 1924 near Wellsburg, ND. Frank was the son of Andrew and Appolonia (Haberlack) Thomas. Frank attended county school near Wellsburg and he lived in the Wellsburg and Selz areas. Frank married Magdalena Volk on June 7, 1948 at Orrin, ND. They lived south of Wellsburg in Fram Township. He operated a dairy and farmed with his wife and family. They retired from farming in the 1990's.

He was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey, Catholic Order of Foresters and the North Dakota Farm Bureau. Frank enjoyed horses, fixing machinery. Frank enjoyed helping his wife Maggie in the garden, in keeping the trees clean and picking June Berries.

Frank is survived by his wife, Magdalena of Harvey; children, Patrick of Lorado, MN, Brian (Becky) Thomas of Denhoff, Bradley (Debora) of Farmington, MN, Ronda Thomas of Tucson, AZ, Wallace (Deb) of Clairmont, MN, Jason of Harvey; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alois, Casper, Mike, Louie; sisters, Mary Pederson and Veronica Grossman.
