Frank (Buddy) W. Hellman Jr. was born August 6, 1925 to Frank and Ida Hellman Sr. He grew up on the family farm south of Goodrich and attended country school in that area. He later met his soul mate and life-long partner Della Luella Vietz and they were married in Denhoff on October 15, 1944. They farmed side by side until they retired and moved to Goodrich in 1993. In September 2005 they remained side by side as they moved into the Prairie view Nursing Home in Underwood. Frank was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Goodrich where he held several offices. He served as Sheridan County Tax Assessor from 1971-1999. In his younger years Frank enjoyed playing baseball in Denhoff. Frank also had been active in 4-H as a club leader. As he grew older he loved spending time with his cattle. During the winter Della would wonder what was taking him so long to do the chores only to find out he had been playing with the calves. He enjoyed family, family gatherings, and fishing trips to Canada with various immediate and extended family members. He loved his Lord and strived daily to instill good Christian values into his family. Frank is survived by two sons, Gene (Linda) Hellman, Frenchtown, MT and Kelly (Mary) Hellman, Hurdsfield and one daughter, Cheryl (Jerry) Jesz, McClusky; Four grandsons, Darrel (Diane) Hellman, Terry (Toni) Hellman, James (Brandi) Hellman and Michael (Lory) Hellman; and four granddaughters; Melissa (Karl) Tebelius, Alicia Hellman, Amy (Mike) Jesz Schnetzer and Jerica Jesz; and 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Lenny (Pat) Hellman, Hamilton, MT and two sisters, Sharon Mercer and Sandra Hellman, Wenatchee, WA; and many nieces and nephews.
