Frank Anthony Jacob, 73 of McClusky, ND and of Bismarck died Monday, July 18, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23 at the McClusky Baptist Church, McClusky.  Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 25 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan.  Visitation will be Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky.

Frank was born on January 2, 1949, at Bismarck, ND.  He was the son of John V. and Cecilia (Vogel) Jacob.   They lived near Elgin before moving to Woodworth in 1959.  They moved to Regan in 1965 and later to Bismarck.

Frank served in the Army for three years including a year in Vietnam.  He was awarded the Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign Medals. After his honorable discharge in 1972 he returned ND and worked at the Paterson Ranch near Sterling.

Frank married Shirley Wittman on September 2, 1977, in Mandan.  They lived in Bismarck and he worked as of a truck driver and ended up as a mechanic at Northern Improvement in Bismarck retiring in 2011.  Since 2011, they split their time between a farm near McClusky and their Bismarck home.

He was member of the McClusky Baptist Church.

Frank is survived by his wife, Shirley; brothers, Mike Jacob of Bismarck, Tom (Gloria) Jacob of Colorado Springs, CO, Dan (Jeanene) Jacob of Bismarck; sister, Rosemary (Jim) O'Neill of Woodworth.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Peter Jacob and John Jacob, Jr., infant, Joseph Jacob, and infant, sister Mary Jacob.
