Frances Lageson, 84, Anamoose, ND died Monday, February 12, 2024 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Anamoose.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church followed by a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7 p.m.

Frances "Franny" was born on June 18, 1939 in Harvey, ND to Henry and Pauline (Martin) Lemer.  She grew up on the family farm north of Anamoose and attended rural school.  She graduated from Anamoose High School in 1958.  Franny moved to Minot and worked in the X-Ray department at St. Joseph's Hospital.  A couple of years later she moved to Anamoose and worked at Dr. Hordinsky's clinic in Drake for several more years.  She then worked at the Anamoose Public School where she was head cook retiring in 2007.  Franny married William Lageson on April 25,1970 in Anamoose.  He died on July 24, 2000.

Franny loved cooking and entertaining.  She was known for her baked and canned goods and spoiling her grandchildren with treats. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Altar Society.

Franny is survived by daughters, Jacqueline (Dean) Martin, Anamoose, ND, Myra (Joseph) Buhl of Browerville, MN; sons, Bradley Lageson of Harvey and Ernest (Anni) Lageson of Drake; 10 grandchildren, Christopher (Alisha), Nicole (William), Nathan (Jessica), Abigail, Jacob, Rhianna, Phillip, Brady, Blake and Shelby; five great-grandchildren, Khloe, Everleigh, Archer, Hunter, and Natti; brothers, Eugene Lemer of Valley City; James, Clarence and Allen Lemer all of Anamoose; sisters, Eileen Bjorland of Harvey and Diane Lemer of Bismarck.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; sister, June Lemer.
