Fay Neff, 72 of Mercer, ND died Sunday October 26, 2014 at the Wishek Living Center in Wishek, ND.

Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church, McClusky on Saturday November 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be at the Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky on Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Burial will be at the McClusky City Cemetery.

Fay C. Neff was born on March 10, 1942 at Richardton, ND. She was the daughter of Thomas and Ione (Willows) Rixen. Fay grew up and attended school south of Richardton. The family later moved to Bismarck. Fay married Ervin Neff on October 14, 1962 at Mercer. They had three children, Brenda, Bryon, and David. Fay worked as a waitress in Bismarck for three years and then at the café west of McClusky for 24 ½ years before retiring.

Fay enjoyed horses in her younger years. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers, sewing, and counted cross stitch.

Fay is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ervin of Mercer; two sons, Bryon and his friend Stephanie of Maple Valley, Washington, David and Mindy Neff of Toledo, Washington; granddaughter, Ione Neff of Spearfish, SD.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brenda Neff; brothers, Lynn and Arnold; sisters, Ruth Rexine and Lenora Diechart.
