Obituary

Faith Vebsky, 66, Harvey, ND died Friday, September 12, 2014 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.

Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey, ND.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with prayers services at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Faith was born on June 1, 1948 in Mineola, New York. She was the daughter of Robert and Muriel (Smith) Dryden. She grew up on Long Island, New York and graduated from the Division Avenue Technical High School in Levittown, New York. Faith was an electronics test technician on communications equipment that was sent to Vietnam and used by our soldiers in combat there. Faith was promoted to supervisor in an electronics company.

Faith was once married to Thomas Monelt, Sr.

Faith moved to Goodrich, ND in 1987 and to Harvey in 1991. She worked as an Licensed Practical Nurse at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey for a number of years. Faith lived in Florida. She spent some time with her mother there before moving back to Harvey and resuming working at St. Aloisius.

Faith was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Goodrich, ND.

Faith is survived by her companion of over 22 years, Lona Jelsing of Harvey; mother, Muriel Vebsky of Beverly Hills, Florida; daughter, Lee Anne Gwin of Denver, CO; son, Thomas Monelt of West Paris, Maine; six grandchildren; two brothers, Mark Dryden of Hobe Sound, Florida, George Vebsky of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sisters, Joyce Stevens of Wells, Maine. Peggy Newton of DeSota, Kansas.
