Eva Marie "Mary" Wentz, 98, of Esmond formerly of Seattle, WA died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey, ND.

Funeral mass will be Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Harvey.

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Selz, ND.

Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

Eva Marie "Mary" Wentz was born on November 22, 1916 near Esmond, ND. She was the daughter of Mike and Christine (Fettig) Wentz. She attended the Rich Valley rural school, North Fork rural school and the Maddock school. While growing up she worked as a housekeeper for several neighbors and at San Haven in Dunseith. Mary moved to Seattle in April 1941 and began working for Boeing. After the war she worked at Western Farmers Coop for 36 years as a secretary. Mary sold her home on May 8, 2013 and moved to Esmond where she lived with her sister-in-law, Dolores Wentz. She entered the St. Aloisius Nursing Home on October 8, 2014.

Mary is survived by numerous relatives including a sister-in-law, Dolores Wentz of Esmond; nephews, Doug (Lisa) Wentz, Brian Wentz; nieces, Marylou (Emil) Burgard, Julie (Mark) Tandeski; two great nieces and four great nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Antonia Potter and Francis Zeller; brother, Edward "Eddy" Wentz.
