Eugene Ripplinger, 90, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of McClusky, ND died Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Sky Vista Care Center.  Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church of McClusky, ND.   Arrangements are with Hertz Funeral Home of McClusky.

Eugene was born in Esmond, ND on April 23rd, 1934 and passed on December 10, 2024 at Sky Vista Memory Care in Mesa, AZ. He attended Harvey High School, then worked in California for two years. Returning to North Dakota, he met and married Marlene Dockter from Lincoln Valley on September 29, 1955. They farmed in the Harvey area and moved to McClusky in 1962 where they raised their four children. Eugene was active in the McClusky community serving on several boards including his church, Holy Family Catholic Church.

Upon retiring from farming he enjoyed restoring classic tractors, spending time with his children and grandchildren, music and visiting with friends in both North Dakota and in Apache Junction, AZ where they spent their winters.

Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Marlene, four children and their spouses, Vickie (Hilmer) Hintz, Dean (Kim) Ripplinger, Pamela (Kim) Gillund, Kevin (Tammy) Ripplinger, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one brother, LeRoy.

He was preceded in death by parents, John and Cecelia Ripplinger, four brothers and one sister.

Marlene was the love of his life for over 69 years.
