Eugene Frye, 57, Harvey died Wednesday October 5, 2011 at the St. Aloisius Medical Center.

Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Eugene was born November 23, 1953 on a farm near Orrin, ND. He was the son of Jacob and Barbara (Hager) Frye. The family moved to a farm south of Harvey in 1955 and later moved into Harvey. He grew up and attended school in Harvey. He served in the army from 1974 to 1977 and was honorably discharged. He returned to Harvey and was an auto mechanic and worked for several other businesses. He suffered from the affects of a stroke since 2001. He continued to live independently at home with the help of his family. Eugene enjoyed fishing.

Eugene is survived by his two brothers, George (Sharon) Frye and William (Shirley) Frye both of Mandan; sister, Caroline Connor of Moorhead; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Nancy Frye of Harvey. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wendelin; nephew, Joseph Frye; brother-in-law, Ted Connor; sister-in-law, Denise Frye.
