Esther Jensen's Obituary
Esther Jensen, 89, of Harvey, formerly of rural Anamoose, ND, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 10, at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Anamoose, ND
Visitation will be on Friday, January 9, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey.
Burial will be in the spring at St. Martin Lutheran Cemetery, Anamoose, ND, next to her beloved husband, Duane.
Esther Charlotte Frederick was born on May 2, 1925, in rural Anamoose, ND. She was the daughter of David and Anna (Miller) Frederick. Esther graduated as Valedictorian of the Class of 1942 of Anamoose High School, received her ND teacher's certificate, and taught at rural New Germantown schools in Sheridan County. Esther was united in marriage to Duane Jensen on September 15, 1944, in McClusky, ND. They lived on the family homestead south of Anamoose for 41 years, where they had a grain and dairy farm. They retired and moved to Harvey in 1985.
Esther was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Anamoose, ND. Esther is survived by her children, Cheryl Budeau of Minot, ND; Vail of Minot, ND; Diane (Mark) Albrecht of Milford, OH; Susan (Ray) Bull of Fredericksburg, VA; Rick of Harvey, ND; seven grandchildren, Brent Weninger, Shannon Marquart, Michelle Ehrman, DeAndrea Outlaw, Andrew Albrecht, Thomas Bull, and Kimberly Bascom; twelve great grandchildren, Brandon Weninger, Kari Weninger, Ashley Schmidt, Teresa Marquart, Dillon Marquart, Brianne Johnson, Josie Ehrman, Jadyn Ehrman, William Albrecht, Graham Khoobyar, Anna Bull, and David Bull; and three great great grandchildren, Brooklyn Schmidt, Easton Schmidt, and Ethan Albrecht; one sister, Molly Rademacher of Liberty, MO; two sisters-in-law, Joan Jensen of Bismarck, ND, and Annabelle Fredrick of Alexandria, VA.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Duane on December 26, 1999; grandchildren Christopher Albrecht and Nicole Jensen Starlin; son-in-law Edward Budeau; daughter-in-law Sheila Jensen; brothers Alex, Otto, Henry, and Harold; sisters Anna, Marie, Ernie, and Ruth; brother-in-law, Dennis Jensen; sister-in-law, Verdyne Ziegler.
