Ervin T. Weltz 83 of Harvey formerly of Anamoose died Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the St. Aloisius Hospital of Harvey.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Anamoose, ND.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday July 22 at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.
Burial will be in St. Martin Lutheran Cemetery.
Ervin Theodore Weltz was born on July 16, 1931 on the family farm south of Anamoose. He was the son of Theodore and Alvina (Lang) Weltz. He attended country school there. As a young man he began farming with his father. He married Cherraine Pellett on October 26, 1950 in Anamoose. They lived and farmed in the Anamoose area. He began working for the North Dakota Game and Fish Department at the Lonetree Wildlife Management Area in 1992 and retired from there in 2007. Ervin enjoyed hunting, fishing and refinishing furniture. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church.
Ervin is survived by his wife, Cherraine of Harvey; two daughters, Cynthia (Mike) Purtell, Rapid City, SD, Roxanne (Marlin) Larson, Stanton, ND; son, Terry (Robin) Weltz, Bismarck; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Weltz, Minot; sister, Irene Schmidt, Bismarck.
Ervin was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Alice Huber.
