Ervin Tebelius 85 of Harvey died Tuesday August 23, 2011 at the Medcenter One Hospital in Bismarck.

Funeral services will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Harvey on Sunday August 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.

Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Saturday August 27, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.

Ervin was born on August 4, 1926 in Harvey. He was the son of Emanual and Emma (Wagner) Tebelius. He grew up and attended rural school south of Harvey. He started working with his father on the farm as a young man and continued farming most of his adult life. Ervin married Edna Smestad on August 17, 1948.

Ervin and his wife built the Rugby Livestock Auction in 1960 which they sold in 1962. They purchased the Harvey Livestock Auction in 1962 and operated the auction along with their farming operation until 1992.
Ervin was a member of the Harvey Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Although he spent winters in Phoenix, Ervin spent most of the year in North Dakota where he enjoyed the many coffee meetings with other farmers at the various restaurant establishments in Harvey.

He is survived by his wife, Edna of Harvey; daughter, Diane Tebelius and her husband (Rob McCallum) of Seattle, Washington; sons, Dean Tebelius of Phoenix, Arizona; and Mark and his wife Linda Tebelius of Woodbury, Minnesota; grandchildren, Brock Tebelius of Oakdale, Minnesota and Lindsay Tebelius of Woodbury, Minnesota; and sister, Darlene Morford of Plato, Texas; brother-in-law, Jack Hayes of Denver, Colorado.

Ervin was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jane Hayes and brother-in-law, Ken Morford.
