Ella Rath 92 of Harvey died Friday November 24, 2017 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Bethany Lutheran Church of Harvey.

Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be held in the Ebenezer Congregational Cemetery rural Anamoose.

Ella Rath was born on May 27, 1925 on the family farm south of Anamoose.  She was the daughter of Ben and Mathilda (Ammon) Rath.  Ella grew up and attended rural school south of Anamoose.  She lived in Minot where she was a sales clerk at JC Penney and the Jupiter Store.  She also worked at the Mitchell Café.  Ella returned to the farm south of Anamoose in 1964 and helped on the farm.  Ella and her brother Norman moved to Harvey in 2003.  She entered the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in September of 2017.

Ella enjoyed crocheting, gardening, Lawrence Welk Music, cooking, baking and making sour pickles.

Ella is survived by her brother, Norman of Harvey; niece Marlene (Myron) Thon of Harvey; and nephews, Kenneth and Gerald Rath of Anamoose, ND.  Ella was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law Esther and Calvin Rath.
