Ella Kirschman, 98, of McClusky died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Turtle Lake Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake, ND.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 28 at the Assembly of God Church, McClusky.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky, ND.

Burial will be in the McClusky City Cemetery.

Ella was born on July 9, 1914 at McClusky, ND. She was the daughter of Fred C. and Bertha (Hertzberg) Heitzmann. She grew up in the McClusky area and attended country school. She lived at home and helped with the family chores for several years. Ella married Sam Kirschman on July 1, 1937. They lived and farmed in the McClusky area. They sold the farm in 1977 and moved into McClusky. They lived in the Sheridan Memorial Home in McClusky for a time before moving to the Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake. Ella loved to visit with relatives and will be remembered for her faith in God, love of family, her bountiful garden and baking skills.

Ella was a member of the Assembly of God Church in McClusky.

Ella is survived by her husband, Sam of Turtle Lake; three grandsons, Mark Schlittenhart of Baldwin, ND, David Schlittenhart of Hazelton, ND, Steve Schlittenhart of Belle Fourche, SD; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Derek, Ty, Jamie, Cody, Chelsie; brother, Ted Heitzmann of Harvey, ND; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Grace in 2001; siblings, Fred H., Emma, Willis, Harold, Adolph, Lena and Martha.
