Elizabeth Selzler, 95, Harvey, ND died Friday, April 26, 2019 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home, Harvey, ND.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church of Selz at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation will be on Tuesday April 30, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey.

Prayer services will be held at the church on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery of Selz. ND.

Betty was born on April 16, 1924 near Selz.  She was the daughter of William and Magdalena (Fettig) Kraft.  Betty grew up and attended school near Selz.  As a young woman she worked for other farm families.  Betty married Steve Selzler on February 12, 1945 in Selz.  They farmed near Selz.  Betty and Steve moved to Fargo in 1958 where she worked as a cook at various restaurants in Fargo.  They moved back to Selz in 1973.  Betty worked in housekeeping at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey until her retirement.  Steve died on July 26, 1981.

Betty was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and Christian Mothers both of Selz.  Betty enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, cooking, talking on the phone and embroidering.

Betty is survived by three sons, Jack (Joanne) of Fargo, Steve (Eliza) of Fargo, Robert (Naomi) of Cambria, Wisconsin; daughter, Beverley (Lester) Vetter of Surry; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Krenzel, Bernice Kelly, Maggie Huber; brothers, Walter and Leonard.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve, son, Clement; brothers, Leo, Albert, Peter, Bill, Edmund; sisters, Helen, Theresa, Agnes, and Eva.
