Elaine was born on June 13, 1938, in Harvey. She was the daughter of Frank and Barbara (Holzer) Muscha. Elaine grew up and attended St. Cecilia Catholic School in Harvey through the 8 th grade and graduated from Harvey High School in 1956. She married Edward Kline on November 20, 1956, in Hurdsfield. Together they farmed and ranched southwest of Hurdsfield where they raised their family. They retired and moved to Harvey in 1998.
Elaine was a kind, caring, strong, independent, and busy lady. She was an inspiration to many with her work ethic and 'I can do anything' attitude. She had a strong faith in God and loved her family deeply. She cherished her years on the farm working alongside Eddy with the crops and livestock. She grew beautiful vegetable gardens, raised chickens, milked cows, sold the cream, and did an abundance of canning. Elaine had a love for sewing and was a member of the Prairie Piecemakers quilt club. She made beautiful quilts and baby blankets along with many unique wall hangings, table runners and potholders, which she gifted to so many people. Elaine especially adored her family and treasured her friendships. She was always so grateful for every visit and enjoyed sharing her baked goods or maple nut ice cream with anyone who stopped by. She would even send you home with a little care package.
Elaine served on the Hurdsfield School Board and was treasurer for Lynn Township for many years. Elaine and Eddy loved square dancing with the Prairie Promenaders Square Dance Club. She was involved with Ceramics and created many unique items with the Hurdsfield community. Elaine was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Hurdsfield and later St. Cecilia Catholic Church and the Holy Family Society in Harvey. She was also an active member of the Senior Citizens Center where she sold bingo cards and tried her luck at bingo. She led Bone Builders exercise classes and participated in many other events at the club as well.
Elaine is survived by sons, Michael (Lucy) of New York Mills, Minnesota, Monty (Terri) Kline of Hurdsfield, daughters, Michele (Lowell) Wahl of Fargo, Mary (Kelly) Feickert of Martin; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph and Dale Muscha of Harvey; sisters Agnes Goldade of Harvey, Theresa Dooley of West Fargo, Diane Duff of Grangeville, Idaho.
