Edward Khatain, 88, formerly of Seattle went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 1st, 2010 in Plano, Texas. Edward was born on November 7, 1921 in Kalispell, Montana to the late George and Arakene Khtaian. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for over 40 years, ultimately reaching the position of Chief Dispatcher. His interests included trains, telegraphy, and spending time with his family who will love and miss him always. Although he lived in Texas for the past few years, Seattle remained his true home. He was preceded in death by his parents and lovely wife of over 62 years, LaVerne in 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Eileen Khtaian of Frisco, Texas; son, Kenneth Khatain and wife, Janelle of Boise, Idaho; Grandchildren, Tiffany Redenbaugh, Michelle Peter, Melissa Pavlicin, Kristina Weiss, Alanna Travis, Larissa Khatain, and Brittany Sorenson; Great-Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emma and, Jacob Redenbaugh, Rachel, Matthew, and Rebecca Pavlicin, Brad and Chris Peter; brothers, George Khtaian and wife, Lorraine of Ancortes, Washington, and Steve Khtaian and wife, Vicki of Detroit, Michigan; sister-in-law, Arlene Bender of Martin, North Dakota; nieces and nephews, Brian , Kevin, and David Bender, Steve and Paula Khtaian, Nicole Khtaian-Toukhanian; and a host of friends.
