Edna Doubek 81 of Anamoose died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Martin Lutheran Church of Anamoose on Saturday January 29, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Edna was born on January 19, 1930 in Harvey. She was the daughter of Homer and Borghild (Pedersen) Eggers. The family lived on a farm north of Martin and in the Clifton area. Edna was raised by her aunt and uncle Chloe and Albert Dickinson in Velva. Edna returned home where she completed her schooling north of Martin. Edna married Frank D. Doubek on October 7, 1949 in Rugby, ND. They lived near Clifton and Aylmer and in 1957 they moved to Anamoose. They resided there where she was a homemaker. Edna was a member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary, Anamoose Senior Citizens all of Anamoose. Edna enjoyed knitting, painting, embroidering and she loved to read. Edna is survived by her husband, Frank of Harvey; son, Johnathan (Kathy) Doubek of Minot; daughter, Tora (August Jr.) Selzler of Harvey; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Ervin (Betty) Eggers of Bismarck; sister, Vivian Rudnick of Minot. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marilyn Quame and Effie Nalda. Edna passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.
