Dorothy Grade 85 of Kief, ND died Sunday June 4, 2017 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey. Arrangements with Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky, ND.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 8 at Grace Lutheran Church, McClusky, ND.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 7 at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky.

Burial will be in the McClusky City Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on June 18, 1931 at Dickinson, ND. She was the daughter of James and Dorothy (Rieckman) Towberman. Dorothy was raised and educated in Stark County, near Dickinson. Dorothy married Leonard Grade on October 6, 1952 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Dickinson. They made their home on a farm by Kief. They had four children, Wesley, Darrell, LaDonna and Kathy. Leonard died on June 25, 1998.

Dorothy was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in McClusky and a charter member of the Drake Threshing Association. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons Wesley (Shari) Grade of Kief, Darrell (Laurie) Grade of Kief; two daughters, LaDonna (Craig) Marten of Minot, Kathy (Joel) Haugeberg of Minot; eleven grandchildren, Brandalen (Brian) Lindbo, Justin Grade, Emily Grade, Weston Grade, Daniel (Kysa) Marten, David (Brandi Johnson) Marten, Chad (Kayla) Haugeberg, Kyle (Heatthyr) Haugeberg, Gustav (Lacy Patzer) Grade, Levi Grade, Morgan Grade; seven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Cambria, Easton Berlyn, Conner, Carter and Blake.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents; sister, Emma Peterson, brothers, Melvin Towberman and Marvin Towberman.
