Doretta Gamiles, 89, of Harvey died Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.  Services will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Harvey on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.

Doretta was born on April 23, 1935 in Arlington, Washington.  She was the daughter of John and Esther (Lovejoy) Detwiler.  Doretta grew up and attended school in Washington.  While living in Washington she worked for nursing homes as a certified nursing assistant and in the dietary department.  Doretta married James Gamiles in 1957.  They moved to Selz, North Dakota in 2003.  James passed away in 2009.  Doretta is survived be her daughter, Cindy (Terry) Foren, Selz, ND; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Gretchen Montieth; brother, Harry Detwiler; special friend, Loren.  Doretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband James; son, Mark; sisters, Barbara Weaver and Joyce Lane, brothers, Dean, John, Don, Ted, Larry, Dave.
