Donald Sebastian Keller, 78, of Harvey died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 2:00pm at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm Prayer services will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday at the church. A private burial will be held at the church cemetery.
Don was born on June 30, 1936 in Wellsburg. He was the son of Sebastian and Katherine (Wack) Keller. The family moved to Harvey when Don was 9 years old. He attended St. Cecilia Catholic School through the 8th grade and graduated from Harvey High School in 1954. Don entered the service in October 1955 and served stateside being honorably discharged in October 1957. He returned to Harvey and worked first as an assembler of farm machinery and then later as a parts man for Keller Implement. Don married Judith Truesdell on November 28, 1964. They made their home in Harvey where they raised their five children. Don's struggles with MS began in 1977. He entered St. Aloisius Nursing Home in September 2012.
Don was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey and the Wells Eagles #3080 of Harvey.
In his younger years, Don enjoyed fishing and hunting. He most enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, all of whom he had a very special relationship with.
Don loved to visit and spent much time at Keller Implement after his retirement to visit with the many customers they served. He also had a great sense of humor and exercised it often with family, friends and the staff at St. Aloisius Nursing Home.
Don is survived by his wife Judy of Harvey; son, Scott (Ginger) Keller of Fargo; Daughters, Heidi Keller of Harvey; Kari (Rod) Zeien of Bismarck; Amy Keller of Newnan, GA; Sally (Tim) Feist of Minot; Grandchildren Ashlyn Wiest and Stefani (Austin) Williams; Mariah, Cale and Hannah Zeien; Claire Keller, Drew and Ava Feist; Aysia and Adelee Keller; brother, Jerry Keller of Dickinson; sister-in-laws Irene Keller, Judy (Kost) Keller and Jan Keller.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward, Steve, Leo, John Robert and James Keller; sister, Mary Keller and sister-in-laws, Rose Keller, Wilda Keller, Verna Keller and Ramona Keller.
