Diane Hintz, 72 of Martin formerly of Goodrich, ND died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the St. Aloisius Hospital of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Goodrich on Saturday, July 1 at 2:00 p.m.

Visitation will be at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey on Friday, June 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Burial will be in the Goodrich City Cemetery.

Diane was born on September 4, 1944 on the family farm in the Lincoln Valley area northeast of McClusky. She was the daughter of Henry and Martha (Hoffer) Stein. She attended country school and graduated from the McClusky High School in 1962. She moved to Bismarck and graduated from the Bismarck Business College in 1963. While living there she worked in a laundry's business office. She also worked as a waitress in a McClusky cafe. Diane married Melvin Hintz on November 2, 1963 in McClusky. They lived, farmed and ranched north of Goodrich. Melvin died on January 16, 1999. Diane worked for over 12 years in the Laundry Department at the St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey. She moved to Martin in 2016.

Diane was a member of the First Baptist Church and served as the Clerk there. She served on the Fairview township board as clerk and treasurer.

Diane's hobbies were tending to her flowers and gardening. She embroidered and enjoyed cooking and baking. However, her favorite activity was shopping, especially for clothing.

Diane is survived by her son, Jeff (Natalie) Hintz, Devils Lake; daughter, Kimberlee (Jim) Rott, Anamoose; four grandchildren, Dylan Hintz, Sarah (Jess) Reimche, Jessie (Dusty) Rixen and Rachael (Chad) Weeldreyer; four great-grandchildren, Carson, Grant and Zoey Reimche, Payden Rixen; brothers, Wesley (Tracy) Stein, Theo "Heinie" (Becky) Stein all of McClusky, Roger (Pat) Stein, Napoleon; sisters, Virginia Pollak, McClusky and Arvadell "Patsy" Homann of Minot.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Shirley Dockter, Darlene Grosz, Loretta Meckle, Marlene Murray; brother, Clarence.
