Dennis Sautner, 59, Harvey, ND, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at his home in Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 11 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey, ND.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday with prayer services at 7 p.m. Sunday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Velva, ND.

Dennis Neil Sautner was born on April 29, 1956 in Bismarck, ND to Harlin R. and Marlys L.(Smith) Sautner. The family moved from Bismarck to Harvey in 1959. Dennis attended the St. Cecilia Parochial School in Harvey through the third grade before transferring to the Harvey Public School. Dennis lived in Harvey for numerous years and was employed by The Harvey Dairy, Vondal's Electric and Harvey Farmers Elevator. He moved to Cando and worked for Leonardo's Pasta Plant. Several years later he moved to Jamestown and back to Harvey in 2005. He purchased a home in Harvey and proceeded to make many improvements on the home. For the past four years, Dennis pursued part time his "Sautner Stump Grinding" service in the Harvey area.

Dennis was well liked by his neighbors who spoke highly of him. He received the "Good Neighbor of the Week" award from an area business. He had several cats as pets. He would tinker with equipment in his garage. He enjoyed being outside in his yard when the weather was nice.

Dennis is survived by six brothers, Douglas (Rhoda) of Bismarck, Darrel of Lisbon, Donald of Bismarck, Thomas of Lisbon, James of Forman and Fr. Scott of Hankinson, ND; five sisters, Debra Sautner of Jamestown, Diane (Rick) Degenstein of Oakes, ND, Julie (Roger) Rademacher of Harvey, Ann (Curt) Tracy of Minot, Sandra (Paul) Brewer of Oaks; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Patrick.
