Deloris Gienger, 82, Anamoose, ND died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Trinity Medical Center in Minot.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at St. Martin, Lutheran Church, Anamoose, ND.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.
Deloris was born on July 29, 1928 in Harvey. She was the daughter of David and (Minnie) Putz Hirschkorn. She grew up and attended New German Township country school. As a young woman she worked on the family farm near Martin. Deloris married Elmer Heth June 24, 1951 in Martin. They lived and farmed south of Anamoose. Elmer passed away on December 21, 1976. She then moved into Anamoose. Deloris married David Gienger on October 11, 1980 in Anamoose. They lived in Anamoose. Deloris started to work for Warehouse Grocery in 1996 and worked there for fourteen years. Deloris enjoyed family reunions and picnics; gardening; raising flowers; cross stitching; word find puzzles and knitting. She was a member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church of Anamoose, Anamoose Senior Citizens, Anamoose Civic Club; Nu Alpha Homemaker club.
Deloris is survived by her husband, David of Anamoose, sons, Leon Heth of Bismarck, Lonnie (Sue) Heth of Minot; daughter, Laurie (Mark) Glasser of Fargo; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Amanda, Kayla, Megan, Andrew, Cassandra, Heather; four great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Connor, Devon and Morgan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margene and Walter Filler of Denhoff, Jeanette and Alfred Martin of Balfour, Eileen and David Miller of Dickinson, Dianne and Pete Bader of Tracy, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Heth. Deloris will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
