Delores Hartman, 96, Bismarck, ND formerly of rural Goodrich, died on Friday, May 12, 2023 at a Bismarck hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Century Baptist Church, Bismarck. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Delores was born to Christ C. and Emelia (Brodehl) Schneider on April 11, 1927. She attended the country school close to her home south of Goodrich, completing the eighth grade. Delores met the love of her life, Alvin Hartman, in Goodrich at a Church of God youth event. They were married on June 25, 1944. They purchased a farm south of Goodrich and she became a farmer's wife. Delores raised a large garden, chickens, pigs and geese. Delores and Alvin had four children, Darvin, Darrell, Gary, and Sharee. Delores was the cook at the Goodrich Café for many years. She became well known for her German dishes. She was a member of the Up 'N' Comin Homemakers Club for many years. She attended the Church of God in Goodrich where she taught the children's Sunday School class for many years.

In 1977, Delores and Alvin moved to Bismarck where they enjoyed time with family and friends. She attended Century Baptist Church where she met many new friends.

Delores leaves behind her sons Darvin (Lois) of Bismarck, Darrell (Julie) of Bismarck, Gary of Wilton and daughter Sharee Clooten of New Salem; grandchildren, Doug (Tina), Bismarck, Dennis (Sarah) of Waverly, Nebraska, Susan (Greg) DeRenzo of Vancouver, WA., Sterling Clooten of Cottage Grove, MN, Devin Hartman of Dickinson; great-grandsons, Andrew Hartman (Cassidy) of Mandan, Austin Hartman of Bismarck, Zachariah and Benjamin Hartman of Waverly, NE, and Malaki of Iron Mountain, Michigan and great-great-grandson, Wylder Hartman of Mandan, ND.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband Alvin; brother Dellas Schneider; her parents Christ and Emelia Schneider.
